WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY IN RELAIS APPIA ANTICA – CEREMONY IN THE BASILICA DI SANTA SABINA, ROME

Andrea and Veronica’s wedding was simply fabulous, immortalised in the images captured by Stefano Snaidero and Camilla Cheade, wedding photographers in Rome.

A love story which started at university, when Veronica asked Andrea for his notes on an exam he had already taken. Andrea didn’t miss his chance to use it as an opportunity to ask Veronica out. This and other moments from their relationship were portrayed in sand on their wedding day thanks to Simona Gandola’s “Sand-Art”. Everyone was fascinated and moved by Simona’s creations, her hands were moving continuously to enable the couple to recall the most poignant moments of their relationship through her creations.

The day began at Relais Appia Antica, Veronica got ready in the rooms of the Resort surrounded by the warmth and affection of her parents and her bridesmaids, who had been with her right from the start of her special day. The bride was enchanting in her dress from the St. Patrick Collection of Provonias and her beautiful shoes were by Alessandra Rinaudo.

Andrea, in his tuxedo by Carlo Pignatelli from the Atelier the Woman in White, met friends and relatives at home and then together we waited for the bride at the altar of the Basilica of Santa Sabina on the Aventine Hill in Rome. The floral arrangements and bouquet were thoughfully created by Momento Magico, breathtaking but at the same time refined.

The bride’s entrance is definitely one of the most intense moments of a wedding, Veronica and Andrea still remember the emotion they felt when they met at the altar… but they also remember the serenity they felt when the priest, who was a friend of theirs, took the situation in hand when he said, “Don’t worry, I’ll take it from here”.

TThe Aventine Hill in Rome is a stunning location, from the lush green Giardino degli Aranci (Orange Garden) an enchanting view of Rome opens up. The garden has a simple yet majestic orchard… and it is impossible to resist the temptation to make it the setting for some photos of the newlyweds. Just before going into the Relais we went for a walk on the historic Appia Antica, making the most of the warm light of the Roman sunset.

Roberto Mattera himself welcomed Andrea and Veronica at the entrance of the Relais and took them to the area around the pool where the Relais le Jardin catering had already started serving mouthwatering appetisers. The room that would host the dinner was decorated impeccably and perfectly illuminated, everything was chosen by an exceptional wedding planner: the bride herself.
